Project Management is a new direction of management which is based on the professional running of non-typical and unrepeated ventures focused on achieving ones target.
In its attitude, PM is similar to golf in its philosophy of strategic games, which is seen by its results as an effect of equal planning, as well as precise decision making made by concrete individual, unrepeated conditions.
Golf is one of the most recognized forms of compensating relaxation for the daily stress of Project Managers.
The IPMA Open Golf Cup 2007 Tournament ( www.pkgolf.pl; www.ipma2007.com) has been organized on the occasion of the 21st World Project Management Congress, which will be held in Cracow from the 18th-20th June 2007. This is seen as the most important event in the field of Project Management worldwide in the present day. World class specialists, scientists and practitioners will arrive in Cracow with the aim of showing and introducing the newest states of knowledge and practices in present day management issues.
Cracow Valley Golf & Country Club is the first 18-hole Master Class golf course in Southern Poland which was designed by renowned golf course designer Ronald Fream from California. The choice of course location was decided on owing to the inspirational surroundings of the Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska Valley and most importantly the exquisite surrounding area of the Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska National Park. The golf course was built to USGA standards allowing for the fulfillment of the ambitions of the most demanding players. The varied topographical, wide, rolling fairways and deep bunkers are most characteristic elements of the course which was specifically located in the Jura Krakowsko-Częstochowska Countryside enveloped by thick forests to create a memorable impression even on golf players who have played on the best courses around the world. On the160 ha grounds you have at your disposal an 18-hole master class golf course, (par 72) as well as a 6-hole short course (par 18). In addition, there is a modern Golf Academy with a Driving Range and first class hotel and restaurant on the premises.
