Singh wins Volvo Masters golf

India’s Jeev Milkha Singh has capped a good golfing year by winning the Volvo Masters in Valderrama.
While most at Valderrama were transfixed by the first European Order of Merit title, the 34-year-old Singh went on to win the tournament calmly.
This was his second ever European Tour title and second title this season.
Singh, who is ranked 147th in the world, picked up a cheque of $840,855 – the biggest by an Indian in an individual sport.
The 34-year-old Indian has now jumped into the European Tour top 20, with a ranking of 16 and also in the top-100 in the world rankings.
“This is a really a big win,” he said.
“It’s going to give me more confidence and hopefully I can move on from here to even bigger tournaments.”
Padraig Harrington snatched his first European Order of Merit title after a dramatic final round.
