Best known for its golf shoe, outerwear and glove franchises, FootJoy also is the industry’s dominant player in golf. To that end, FootJoy is introducing ProDry Extreme, which company officials said is the first sock in the golf industry made with Dri-Lex, an exclusive moisture control technology that is featured in FootJoy golf shoes.
ProDry Extreme technology, the company said, is temperature regulating, and it absorbs and releases moisture at the same time. What this means, according to FootJoy, is that the sock layer closest to the foot remains dry, cool and comfortable.
Added features, FootJoy said, are that the socks resist odor and mildew, and perform even better when washed and dried with fabric softener. FootJoy said ProDry Extreme socks also feature heel-to-toe cushioning in the sole of the sock for added comfort in step.
Product offerings are available in a variety of styles and color for men and women to choose from. The men’s line features styles in crew, quarter, sport, roll-top and low-cut available in black, white, navy, driftwood and oatmeal. The women’s line features styles in quarter, sportlet, roll-top and low-cut styles available in black, white and driftwood.
ProDry Extreme product availability is Fall 2005. Suggested retail price is $10 per pair for crew styles and $9 per pair for quarter, sport/sportlet, roll-top, and low-cut.
